Today is Food Shelf Sunday at First, and this is Minnesota Food Share Month across our state.  Thank you for your donation to the county food shelf today—or sometime later in the month.  The Sunday School mission offering today is also for the food shelf.  Come see the food shelves in the East Entry of First.

LSS fundraiser dinner today (chicken & meatballs) & Jam Fest at the Karlstad Community Center from to with a large salad bar and dessert table.

ELCA Presiding Bishop Mark Hanson will host a town hall forum at today. He will field questions from a live audience of ELCA members and from online participants at www.elca.org/townhall.  This is also where you can view or listen to the meeting.

The Haiti Mission Group from this area will be reporting on their trip at the Karlstad Assembly of God Church tonight at .  All are welcome.

On Wednesday the 5th & 6th graders will serve a soup and sandwich supper at at First.  The Lenten service will focus on Jonah’s prayer from the belly of the fish (Jonah 2:1-10).  Check the First Lutheran Social Hall bulletin board for how our Lenten offerings are used.

Remember that Daylight Savings Time begins next Sunday.  “Spring Ahead”

The American Cancer Society’s Daffodil Days begin next Sunday.  Sign up today to purchase a bunch of daffodils with the proceeds going for cancer research.

We extend our sympathy and prayers for Carolyn Turnwall and all the family of her father, Clarence Nelson, who died Friday morning at the Karlstad Healthcare Center.
