The Eidsvold Women (WELCA) will meet on Thursday, February 16, at 10:00 a.m. for the regular monthly meeting, the Bible study on the Gospel of Mark, and lunch (of course!!)  The WELCA did not meet in January due to an extreme cold warning on the assigned day.  Devotions are by Helen Rickenberg, lunch is by Ruth Swenson, and Bible study is led by the pastor, as always.

The First Lutheran Women (WELCA) will meet on Saturday, February 18, at 9:00 a.m. and begin with a breakfast served the officers.  Menu: baked French toast, sausage, juice, and coffee.  The Bible study on the Gospel of Mark will be led by the pastor as always.

The Faith Circle will meet on Friday, February 24, at 2:00 p.m. at The Meadows assisted living center for the same Bible study led by the same pastor.

Some changes have been made in the School Kit list for Lutheran World Relief. If you are planning to fill a bag, please adhere to the following items.

• Four 70-sheet notebooks of wide or college-ruled paper approximately 8”x10 ½”; no loose-leaf paper.

• One 30-centimeter ruler, or a ruler with centimeters on one side and inches on the other.

• One pencil sharpener

• One blunt scissors (safety scissors with embedded steel blades work well)

• Five unsharpened #2 pencils with erasers; secure together with a rubber band

• Five ballpoint pens (no gel ink); secure together with a rubber band

• One box of 16 or 24 crayons

• One eraser approximately 2 ½” long*

• One sturdy drawstring backpack-style cloth bag approximately 14”x17” with shoulder straps (no standard backpacks)

Do not add other items or leave out any of the items listed. All items should be new or in good condition. Remove any excess packaging, pack all items in bag and close. Do not enclose the Kit or any of its contents in plastic bags.

       When the school bags are ready to be filled, there will be copies available of the items. Thank you!
